National CRNA week, January 18-24, 2026, is the annual celebration of the nearly 74,000 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and residents in nurse anesthesiology programs in the United States. CRNAs, who safely administer more than 58 million anesthetics each year, deliver exceptional care to patients who rely on these innovative leaders to protect them during their most vulnerable moments.

To celebrate this week, the DANA Board of Directors, members and NARs will visit the Delaware Legislative Hall on January 21, 2026 to advocate for CRNA practice and recognition.  The DANA attendees will be introduced on the Senate and House of Representatives floor and meet with several legislators to educate them about our profession.

CRNA Week Hands-on Skills Workshop

CRNA/RRNA/RN affiliates will be provided a 4.5-hour hands-on educational workshop on the use of ultrasound for IV insertion, invasive lines, adult and pediatric airway management, and neuraxial anesthesia. No lecture will be provided at the workshop.  Attendees will need to complete a pre-course lesson, which will provide 2 CE credits,  prior to attending the workshop.  Pre-course lesson material will be sent to registrants electronically and is expected to be completed prior to the workshop. The virtual pre-course and in-person skills workshop will qualify for a combined total of 6.5 CE credits. 

Attendees will rotate through four stations as follows:

Station 1: Invasive Line

Station 2: Spinal and Epidural

Station 3: Adult & Pediatric Airway

Station 4: Ultrasound Vascular Access
