What is DANA-PAC?

Governed by CRNAs, DANA-PAC, the Delaware Association of Nurse Anesthetists Political Action Committee, is a nonpartisan separate segregated fund that supports the state election campaigns of candidates who are influential to CRNAs’ interests in Delaware health policy.

Through DANA-PAC, the DANA has been able to strengthen the profession’s voice in Dover, DE, by focusing our financial expenditures on state candidates who will be the strongest advocates on issues of importance to CRNAs such as patient safety, access to quality healthcare services, scope of practice, and increasing educational funding.

Contributions to legislative candidates are used to increase DANA’s visibility through our attendance at key political receptions for members of the state legislature and participation in healthcare briefings held by important policymakers. Through the help of politically active DANA members, DANA-PAC participates in local fundraisers and meetings with candidates and members of legislature by CRNAs throughout the state so our voices are heard locally and in Dover.

DANA-PAC makes contributions to candidates based on their relationship to CRNAs and policy issues that will impact the work of CRNAs.

DANA-PAC is nonpartisan and works directly with party organizations to financially support candidates. Pursuant to federal election law, DANA-PAC can only solicit funds from DANA members, their families, and AANA employees.

To contribute to DANA-PAC, or to become involved as a member of the PAC Committee, please contact our PAC Chair, Carrie Kenney at ckenneynp@comcast.net.
